High Precision Positioning in Land Survey with GT78-VN
GT78-VN is AMobile's latest 8 inch industrial rugged tablet, that can be integrated as part of the Land survey solution, land survey is used to map shape and boundaries of a piece of land, measurement details require accurate data, via GIS method, the high precision positioning can be as accurate as centimeter level, to do this, GIS can also provide elevation information, providing map information for boundaries, population, public infatuations and more.
There are three levels of GPS accuracy levels, including “Recreational GPS” that can support accuracy up to plus and minus 25 meters, a, GT78-VN's own GPS is under the category of “Mapping Grade GPS” that supports up to 3 meter accuracy, finally, with GIS, we also offer “Survey Grade” solutions that can support centimeter grade accuracy, conventionally land survey is done annually, operators would take GT78-VN rugged tablet install onto the pole mounts via a mounting support, and a GASS receiver would be found at the top of the pole, it is connected with GT78-VN via Bluetooth or WiFi, then the system initiates software configuration, GT78-VN would begin GPS positioning, the 13MP main camera is used to find starting point, measuring tape is used to set a 1m based point.
GT78-VN is rugged design, with IP65 rating, suitable for applications like land survey where the operation is primarily outdoors, in which the application have to face different weather conditions, extended vibrations when on the move, various humidity and other conditions that requires additional durability which only industrial grade rugged tablets can handle.
With GT78-VN, powered by MediaTek’s MT8788 Octa-Core Processor, during a land survey operation, user can browse and edit the mapping data right on the tablet, such as location marking for light poles, GT78-VN is running Android 11 operating system, also support GMS, which can support wide range of Android APPs, for communicate, GT78-VN supports WiFi, 4G/LTE, BT and NFC, operator can have real time discussions with colleagues in the office as GT78-VN can send real time report and mapping data with its rich communication options.
GT78-VN is equipped with a 6200mAh battery, and it is user swappable, to ensure continuous operation even when working in a less accessible area, operator can still complete task with preparing additional batteries, without the needs to worry about battery level, for vehicle application, GT78-VN also has a dedicated vehicle dock, device can be charged while travelling to the next location.
